I’ve had my share of darkness from battling with both mental and physical health issues (that’s another story for another time), but I’m here to tell you…sis...
THERE IS LIGHT!!!
I can remember defining this feeling I was experiencing as feeling “stuck”. In my process of healing, one day while journaling I thought to myself, what if this darkness, this space where I feel stuck, only exists in my head. The moment I came to that realization things took a drastic turn for me in all the best ways! I call it my ‘aha’ moment, and right when I thought there was no light…the space around me started to look a lot brighter.
Now, let me say, this is a process; a journey rather, and to do that you have to start somewhere right? I want to leave you with a starting point that’s just too easy to not try.
Simply be mindful of your thoughts. You have to trust the power in your thoughts and the things you say. If you are someone who believes that nothing good happens to you, you are more likely to put in less effort in your life routines or the things you do. Putting in less effort may result in things not turning out your way which then confirms your thought that nothing good ever happens to you.
Our thoughts create our reality. The more you believe in yourself, the more you feed yourself and your mind positive affirmations like; I can, I will, I am, I do, that light you thought wasn’t there will begin to get closer.
No matter what you consider your ‘dark space’ to be, I want you to know you can overcome the space – you can overcome anything and change your reality, all you have to do is believe it.
